Sitting in my corner
Hiding behind my mask of equipoise
I watch you expose your soul
Spilling your fear, rage, joy, and pain
Your laughter is a vanear
Lightly brushed over tears
Even the love you share
Is dusted with aprehension
Or dripping with inadequacy
I might even get to stumble over
Some pseudo intellectual gibberish
While you wax eloquently about
your latest psychedelic adventure
All these snap shots of your existence
Spilled into the sound waves
and for a few moments I breath you in
Live in your skin, taste your essence
Tour a little corner of your mind
Look at the world through your eyes
In this way I can come to love you
Maybe even understand myself a little clearer
But don’t look for me in that corner
I left as soon as you knew I was there
